Electrolytic calcium of CMP JSC is used as a reducing agent for oxides in the metallurgy of refractory and rare metals. The main consumers of calcium products are enterprises of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, oil industry and chemical industry.
JSC Chepetsk Mechanical Plant produces metallic calcium in the form of ingots, shavings, grits and granules. The plant has developed technologies for producing calcium alloys with magnesium, aluminum and nickel. Injection wires with various fillers are most in demand in metallurgy.
Calcium injection wire
CMP JSC is the world's largest manufacturer of calcium injection wire, which is a thin-walled, extended steel tube with a filler made of a rod of high-purity metallic calcium.
It is used for out-of-furnace steel treatment to improve the corrosion properties of alloys and the purity of steel.
Ferrotitanium filled wire
It is a thin-walled extended steel tube with a filler of ferrotitanium powder, which is produced at the enterprise from titanium production wastes. The product is in demand in metallurgy for out-of- furnace steel processing, improving the mechanical and corrosion properties of alloys. For example, in the smelting of stainless and automotive sheet steels, where titanium is a carbon stabilizer. The use of ferrotitanium in the form of wire (as opposed to lump) makes it possible to introduce it deep into the melt, avoiding interaction with slag and the atmosphere.
Specialists of CMP JSC together with Rosatom Metalltech JSC provide consulting services to representatives of metallurgical enterprises on the use of injection wires, offer optimal modes and parameters for their use in steel production.
